On 10 and 11 November 2022, NIMFEIA’s kick-off meeting took place at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) in Dresden, Germany. The entire consortium was present with each party sending at least one delegate. The EU project officer participated online. In total, 22 participants attended the meeting.
The meeting began with a welcome by the director of HZDR, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Schmidt, followed by a brief overview on the NIMFEIA project given by the coordinator, Katrin Schultheiss. The project officer presented HaDEA’s role in supporting EU-funded R&I, rules and procedures in Horizon Europe.
Over the course of the two days, the work package leaders presented the planned activities in their respective work packages and the first meeting of the General Assembly took place. Industry perspectives on the topic of artificial intelligence in today’s applications were shared and HZDR laboratories dedicated to the experimental research performed in NIMFEIA were visited.
